Post 6: English Language Challenges

I can´t believe this is the last blog. I really enjoy this subject, it’s like my “you can relax” subject, the other subjects are very stressful. I join others classes wanting to leave but English classes are more interactive, we talk about interesting things. I like it because I can practice my speaking skills.

I have to improve my speaking skills, in my head everything sounds perfect but when I speak, I get nervous or something like that and I end up saying something complete different of what I was thinking, unfortunately no one close to me speaks English, so I try to talk in English when I´m alone to improve my fluency. For my listening skills I don’t think I have problems, but when people speak really fast or with accents, like Australians, it can get a little bit difficult. I watch a lot of British movies and series so my goal in English is speak English with British accent at perfection. I love British accent!

I use a lot my writing and reading skills on social media, but I still need to improve because sometimes I forgot how to write some words.

Anyway, I really like English and I try to use it as much as I can!

Post 5: Videogames

Well, this topic is really foreign to me. I know that most people born between 1990-2000 are really close to videogames but not me. Videogames never really caught my attention so a never asked for one and also my dad didn’t like them, he says that videogames only make children lazier. I think he’s got a point but, obviously, it depends on the case.

One time on vacations, the son of some niece of my grandparents stayed all day in his room playing videogames and when he lost, he totally loses his mind. He was a really frustrated and angry person, but it wasn´t the videogame´s fault, not all the people who plays videogames are aggressive and a video game doesn´t make you aggressive.

The closest that I’ve been to a videogame it´s “just dance”, my cousin has it and I think it´s funny. Last year I tried to play “Mario Kart” on a Nintendo and I crashed every time. When I was a child, I played a lot of cooking, dressing and haircut games, I used to have a lot of fun! but I´m not sure if they were really videogames because I associate videogames with PlayStation, Nintendo or Minecraft.
